  1. Depends on the landlord and the lease. I have a friend who rented a house that had the stove but she had to get the fridge.

  2. yes it should be included unless your renting a motel room or something

  3. Yes, it should include a stove, especially if it already has a fridge..  Stove, Fridge, A/C are expected, I don't know if they are mandatory, but expected.

Plus it will be easier to rent if you have the appliances..

  4. I don't think landlords are required to furnish anything if they don't want to. Generally they do provide these things to make the apartment more user friendly for whoever moves in. Plus they can use it to charge more for the rent.  Usually, if the apartment was listed for rent in the paper as a furnished apartment, that means the appliances are furnished. If they list it as unfurnished, then you would have to furnish your own appliances. In either case, you must have looked at the place before you rented it. Why didn't you ask about it then? If I were you, I'd ask the landlord why you don't have one. Maybe they would provide one for you if you were willing to pay a little extra for the rent.

  5. that is something you should have checked on before you signed the lease. Some do. Some dont. Same for washers and dryers and refrigerators.
