  1. No. Georgia started this one. If we come in on their side it sets a very bad precedent.

    Also, NATO has zero obligation.

  2. FIRST....Georgia did NOT start this one......this has been building for two years.....The Russians kicked all Georgian diplomats out of Russia two years ago.....they have been slowly moving troops into the area and pushing for this conflict for years.....It is NOT a Georgian creation

SECOND America sticks it's nose into a lot of countries .... and does little more than get our troops killed and irritate countries..... the ONLY reason we should get involved is if there is a direct threat to America or it's citizens. Somalia was NOT our business.....Bosnia was NOT our business.....Grenada was not our business.....Vietnam was not our business.... WE NEED TO MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS

KOSHU....Thank you for the vote of confidence....but I was in Grenada....the medical students were NEVER in any danger ( until we invaded) ....they were not the son's and daughters of "rich" Americans....most of them came there because they could not afford American medical schools....the invasion was caused by America's communist/socialist paranoia.... Reagan thought Bishop was becoming a second Cuba....he was worried that the new airstrip was going to be used as a military base...I found plans in the Prime Minister's house that proved the airfield was for expanded tourism.....the socialist government ( Bishop) was going to take over Anise beach and make a new tourist haven.... his execution by Cord ( Soviet Communist) changed the picture and made Grenada a Russian satellite

  3. Absolutely we should get involved.. Russia started this entire thing, almost as if they were preparing for this day. They handed out Russian passports to the citizens of Ossettia days before the Russians stuck their noses where it didn't belong. The Russian have had their noses in Chechnya, Ukraine and now Georgia.

I think NATO should hurry through Georgia 's application to become a member. Georgia has been a HUGE ally of the United States, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq. In fact Georgia had at least 1,000 troops in Iraq before they started to withdraw them to defend their homeland. No one said we needed to send 100,000 troops, but a few Fighter Squadrons and a few thousand Marines/Army Infantry soldiers would do. Whats a better test for the F-22 than live target practice? Nothing Russia has would be able to stop the F-22. It would also allow it, if necessary, to use air-to-ground ordnance.

  4. I agree with Kojak, however Grenada was done just to rescue the relatives, of the American wealthy and powerful. The relatives were students at the medical school, no other real reason.
