  1. Yes, yes and yes! Communist China should not make a propaganda showcase out of the Olympic games like n**i Germany and the Soviets did it. They lied from the beginning to the Olympic Committee. The first deceptive lie was when the Chinese spray painted to green the parks in Peking that the Olympic Committee members could see green grass from the limousines. Move the games to Free China (Taiwan), they deserve it more that the commies.

  2. It would be a great gesture if all the athletes and Olympic sponsors boycott the Beijing games, not only for Tibet but also for China's economic partnership in Sudan.

  3. Absolutely.

I have a lot of respect for those athletes who boycott the games, and none for those who will attend.

  4. I do not think that it is fair to as Olympic athletes to boycott the games. These are individuals who have dedicated their lives to training for one moment of hoped for glory. To ask these individuals to give up this opportunity is selfish. These individuals are athletes, they are not politicians. It is not their fault that the Olympic Games are being held in China.

Also, the Olympics are the one time that politics is suppose to take a back seat to everything else. It is a time for the countries of the world to come together and unite. Also, it has been common knowledge about these issues regarding China and Tibet. If IOC wanted to make a stance they should have removed the Olympics from China. I think asking individual athletes or states to boycott is absurd, when the ruling body of the Olympics does not feel a need to change the venue.

  5. You already know that Chinese athletes won't boycott the games, nor will a number of others. Boycotting has been tried before and it wasn't very effective. Most people don't even remember now that there was a boycott. If you really want to protest, convince people not to attend the games. If the tourists don't come, there are billions of dollars of lost revenue and that will hurt China far more than a few athletes sitting at home.

  6. Yes, I think they should... However, since we Americans have no moral ground to stand on, we will be there.

We torture people and imprison people without due process and spy on our citizens... so we are just like the Chinese... it will be China, America, and a few other counties that don't care about civil rights competing.

We could nickname it the "Bad-Will Games 2008" and we could add Waterboarding as an event.

    Good Luck

  7. No.  If anything, you want the journalists THERE to report the story.

  8. No

  9. Yes...because only money talks.

  10. I think the spectators should boycott, because it will hurt china more if there are no tourist spending money in the country..

  11. If it's over Tibet, I think a boycott will be senseless.  We are talking about countries.  The games express a gesture of goodwill and how will you judge which to boycott or not when no country is a saint.  There has to be more grounds than that.
