It would have been very harsh to have thrown out Ospreys for either the Lee Byrne 16th man case or Ricky Januarie ineligibility episode. The Welsh region deservedly got through to the last eight of the Heineken Cup and were cleared of any wrongdoing in the Januarie investigation.
