Should P. Harrington be ranked No.2 golfer after back-to-back Major wins?

I don't think he should overtake Phil for winning two majors in a row.  This is a spectacular feat but to take 2nd spot from phil, would force Padraig to play as consistently as phil which at the moment he is not.  It must suck to be Sergio....

World ranking points are given out to everyone equally. Phil has earned his right to be number 2 until the WGR show differently and it's just stupid to think that Tiger shouldn't be number 1... Padraig is #3 in the world.

i think the answer is definatly yes...the 'old' number 2 player was phil....and in both majors he wasnt really contending, but harrington won back 2 back...i was just wishing sergio would have had a change 2 win 1 :/

3 of the last 6 majors, I think it's obvious he should be #2.  However, it does'nt matter how long Tiger's out, he's #1.  He has dominated for 10 years now in a way no one has ever seen.  He almost has as many tour wins as Nicklaus and isn't far behind him in majors.  Plus he's still in his early-mid 30's.

Yes, forget the convoluted computer ranking system.  He could even be the number 1 if Tiger does not come back soon.

Yes, I think he should be ranked number 2 ... but he still has a loooong way to go to catch Tiger and the top spot.

Patrig Harrington should be ranked with the best and right now # 2 is a good place for him. To win two majors in a year is a feat which deserves recognition. He has played well for the last couple of years and appears to have come into his own. How about great putts on the last four holes to keep the lead while Sergio goes stupid again.

Phil is number 2 based on his performance over the last 2 years.  But Paddy is only 2 points behind.  If he keeps playing well, he will pass Phil for #2.
