  1. why not?  Its not a whole lot different from what Americans generally think about santa.  Its a way to make a holiday fun for kids if the family isn't religious.

  2. No, because Easter has a pagan origin.

  3. Certainly they should. They should teach their children that every night that they pee on flowers, the evil bunny of easter comes by and nails them to crosses.

Seriously though, it is a personal and religious choice. I don't teach my children the mythology of different religions, or even the full mythology of mine, but only what is appropiate. Likewise, I don't teach another person's kid the mythology of my religion, even though School systems have no problem force-feeding other religious mythologies down the throats of my kids (Such as the Easter Bunny)

So what it boils down to is, do you like the message that can be passed off by teaching your kids about the Easter Bunny? If not, then don't do it.

  4. Parents should teach their Kids about all things.

In this they need to explain that there is a difference between faith and fantasy.  Parents usually hope that their children will accept their faith as their own.  Nonetheless, if the Easter Bunny is part the culture that they are raised in, then the parents should teach them about it.  The same goes for the Chocolate, the Eggs, Palm Fronds, and Crosses weather they are Christians or not, Kids will ask.
