  1. no, he was a good player on a hall of fame team, but he went over a 1000 yards only 3 times in 11 seasons, he was top 10 in rushing yards 3 times in his career, he has never scored more than 9 rushing T.Ds in a season (which he only did twice). and the only reason he went 1000/1000 is because Jerry Rice was still a rookie with fumbling problems, and the other WRs Dwight Clark & Freddie Soloman werent the same recievers they once were. and to the guy who said Roger Craig was in the same class as LT...not

  2. Certainly; he was an unstoppable force for many years and helped his team win Superbowls.   He could get the tough yards and catch passes.  He was certainly one of the best of his time.

  3. Only for losing 46 games in two years with the Mets.  He was unremarkable in every way.  Not even close to HOF caliber.

    Oops!  Wrong sport, wrong guy.

  4. I guess the real question is:  Was Roger Craig a Hall-of-Famer or was Roger Craig on a Hall-of-Fame team?  A team with Joe Montanna, Jerry Rice Dwight Clack and Ronnie Lott on D, it's kind of hard not to stand out (because the whole world was watching the Niners in the 80's) and while defenses were trying to get to Montanna and double teaming Jerry - that left many times huge holes open for Craig.  But look at his stats - give the man his dues and put him the Hall - I believe he deserves it.

  5. yes he should, i believe he was the first running back ever to rush for over 1000 yards and receiver for over 1000 yards. he was basically marshall faulk/ladainian tomlinson back then.
