Almost certainly not, but isn't there just a hint of hypocrisy when the USA starts shouting about violation of sovereign territory?

  4. Hi!

No, there's no hypocrisy. Georgia did not attack any of its neighbours.

  5. Russia was looking for a reason to tell the world they can still beat up a small guy. They have an ego that is needing to be stroked since the country suffered a serious lost at the end of the cold war. Let's face it, thieves and murders have operated their government for many many decades and i don't see anything changing. Most of the country is made up with men who enjoy being drunk and beating up on women who can't defend their selves. What a bunch of zeros.

  6. Personally think the whole charade was perfectly orchestrated between Georgia and the US,so as the missile defence agreement with Poland was sealed whilst the whole world concentrated on Russia´s invasion of Georgia,Now Poland have been threatened by Russia,So i think we all better buckle up and hold tight this could get seriously ugly.OH and the Germans are in Moscow now holding talks with Russia??LOOK OUT.

  7. No.

  8. There were 1000 US troops in Georgia up until 1st August. The Georgian military were trained by the US.

The Russians already had a peace keeping force protecting the Russians who live in Georgia when Georgia launched at attack. I don't see that Russia had much choice but to bolster the peace keepers that were there last Friday.

And it seems strange that US had their military people there up until the week before.

  9. No, but neither should the Georgian president pushed his luck - and it ran out. The US have no right to lecture anyone on invasion of territories, or human rights whilst ever Guantanamo bay is there, and there forces are in Iraq. The US never was any good at diplomacy - leave that to the European experts. A quiet word here,  a quiet word there, some weekend lunches etc - works wonders. Never mind the Bang, Crash Wallop, it doesn't work.

  10. Russian citizens were killed by georgian uniforms.  In Russia's eyes 2000 pro russian people were killed by unprovoked Nato trained Georgian military.  9/11 allowed the US to go protect the world from Terrorism, Russia sees the sneak attack on S.O. as their 9/11...

However Russia has been waiting for this opportunity to flex their muscles and show the world their power again.  Russia tactically had no objections over Iraq for this very moment right now.  Even though the US has had some Major malfunctions with Russia, They cannot stop them because of the United States' policy on terrorism.

  11. Yes, every country has a right to defend itself. Now don't tell me that Bin Laden is hiding in S. Ossetia or the 1500 dead civilians were tired of living and Georgian troops helped them solve that problem.

  12. I know a woman who married an American and went to the States from Moscow. There she was afraid to take up a job because the place was just terrible. And I haven't seen her afraid in my life in Russia. And her husband beat her and the neighbors called the police. They took him away but soon he returned and gave her a hard time packing her stuff. The police released him though he committed a violent crime.

So creative thinker, think again:were there such numerous massacres of native population like Wounded knee in Russia? The answer is NO. So, don't believe your propaganda.

  13. No, Putin should not have attacked Georgia.  But then, Putin is an extreme nationalist and cares not about anyone but Russia.  This I suspect is a rebirth of the old Soviet Union.

Hypocrisy?  No, the U.S was enforcing the cease fire agreement from the first gulf war AND, the U.S. had tried to work through diplomatic channels in both Iraq as well as Afghanistan - who at the time was harboring those responsible for repeatedly attacking the U.S..  Perhaps you would do well to take off the rose colored glasses when you study history.  They seem to be distorting the text.

  14. Yes, you are right
