  1. South Africa is having so much trouble, I don't know what would help it.  I'd get out if I lived there.

  2. Check out the answer edward s has given.

  3. Not really. South Africa is already very large and diverse. The next step is to continue to support and strengthen the African Union, so that Africa as a whole can be seen as capable of tackling its own problems constructively and with maturity.

  4. i dont think any of the African countries should unit how are they expected to run a continent when each leader cant even run their  own country.

(south africa has been a great help in the zimbabwe crisis thanks SA)

oh i might add CHINA has been backing the countries like zim congo etc.. getting raw resources and keeping dictators in power hence the large shipment of wepons to zimbabwe which SA was going to allow to off load if it wasnt for the union of workers at the dock.

  5. since the blacks took over South Africa, it has unfortunately become a place of extremely high crime, where murder is cheap and rape so common place police don't even take reports these days.  Politically, things are good, but economically, the place is not in the best shape.

So, lets look at SA geographical neighbours and do the analysis:

    Zimbabwe

pros: Has the Victoria Falls - pretty.

cons: has the world's highest inflation rate at 100,000 percent. A loaf of bread now costs 10 million Zimbabwe dollars. Mugambe chased off and murdered white farmers and in doing so,  isolated his country internationally and destroyed Zimbabwe's fragile economy.

    Mozambique:

Pros:  Mozambicans are putting their shattering past behind them and rebuilding their country at a good pace.  They were smart and took in the Zimbabwean farmers, gave them free land to create a stronger primary economy and now they are doing OK.

Cons: Years of civil war means that the place is years behind the eight ball.  Violent crimes such as car-jackings and armed robbery are not uncommon in places like Maputo.

    Botswana

Pros: Botswana has a flourishing multiparty constitutional democracy. Each of the elections since independence has been freely and fairly contested and has been held on schedule. The country's minority groups participate freely in the political process.

Cons: Botswana has one of the world's highest known rates of HIV/AIDS infection, but in saying that has one of the most progressive progams in dealing with it... but still wouldn't go looking for love on a drunken weekend.

    Namibia

Pros:  Gained independence from South Africa in 1990 - why would they want to give it back to them.

Cons:  A Lot of Desert... hard to work with...

I hope this helps...  No united africa on the cards at this stage.

  6. A great idea, similar to Chavez's idea for Latin American Unity. It would make it more difficult for imperialists to take over

  7. You have got to be joking have you been to the south Africa page lately.

  8. If a beginning can be made so much the better, a good number of African Govt's need good governance, a united Africa will need very strong leadership and who will provide that, Time will Tell.

  9. hope S. Africans can achieve it someday but theres too much wars happened b4.

If only these people can think wisely.
