Question:

Should Shane Warne be allowed to offer his condolences about Jane McGrath?

I am just wondering if is it appropriate for cricket leg spin bowler Shane Warne to offer his condolences and thoughts to Glen McGrath, his family and Jane's family with Jane McGrath's passing

There are cricketers from Australia and outside Australia who are offering their condolences.

No disrespect to Jane McGrath but and seeing Shane Warne is a cricketer, is it appropriate to offer his condolences too?

This came to my mind because of Shane Warne's certain reputation outside sport.

So would it be negative for Shane Warne to offer his condolences?

(Shane Warne went to the funeral of Crazy John founder John Ilhan)

You can give any answer

My own thoughts & condolences go Glenn McGrath, his family and Jane's family. It was so sad to hear the news.

  1. i dont understand what is the problem with this

how can you deny a friend consolling his mate at a time of great loss

  2. What a stupid question !People should be able to show respect for the departed .I did and I am just a NEVILLE nobody to Glenn and his family .Its about saying that his wife touched me and I was inspired by her.Not if you have done irresponsible things !

  3. OMG ; in a way ,Jane McGrath doesn't need so and so, condolence, we must respect her at this time.

  4. They were good friends, all cricketer's family were very close and toured with the cricketers everywhere they play including Steve Waugh also a best mate of Glenn, everyone of course are allowed to offer condolences and not just condolence but  being there for Glenn would be great....

  5. What a strange idea of Shane Warne you have! He is no worse than many other men posing as top citizens, he is just a human being, & of course he should offer his sympathies to Glenn & family. Glenn would think it very strange if he didn't.

  6. yes

  7. Of course, they were good friends

  8. It does not matter about Shane's 'Off field' reputation at this sad time..Shane Warne was a very close friend to Jane and Glen all through out his career with Australia..

Jane and Simone Warne were quite close..

I don.t find any reason why he should not be allowed

  9. Whats Shane Warne's reputation got to do with whether or not he can give his thoughts to Glenn and the rest of the family. Though they may not be best friends they still have a good and healthy association with each other.

Who are we to judge somebody else anyway when it comes to a discrepancy in their lives. Are we so perfect. Lets look in the mirror at ourselves first before we judge others.

  10. Shane might be a controversial person, but he is a good mate of Pidgey.

I see no harm in allowing him for Jane's condolence.

His off field controversies has nothing to do with this grief.

    May Jane's soul R.I.P

  11. It does not matter about Shane's 'Off field' reputation at this sad time..Shane Warne was a very close friend to Jane and Glen all through out his career with Australia..

Jane and Simone Warne were quite close..

Glen needs all his friends around him at this time, and no matter what people think of Shane Warne,he was and is Glen McGrath's friend..

I would think less of Shane if he never offered any condolances..

  12. Any person may offer condolences to those grieving loved ones. It doesn't matter who they are. I think it would be disrespectful if Shane Warne didn't

  13. I do not find any reason why Shane Warne should not be allowe3d to offer his condolence.
