ok, Shane Warne has really good leadership skills... and he is undoubtedly the best captain in this tournament, and to be honest...

... Shane Warne is a better captain than Ricky Ponting... (atleast as how i am seeing it)

and i also read a small article which stated that Shane Warne is eyeing the Ashes....

  1. No he cant do it

  2. That's laughable mate! Better than Ricky Ponting! hohohoho! Oh my lord, how old are you? Go google them both & see how ridiculous this Q is.It doesn't matter what he is eyeing. Without CA's approval & quite a few practice matches beforehand, he'll not see another Ashes series.Ponting is the equal most successful captain this or any other country has seen, Have you been in a coma for the last decade?

  3. You mean of Aust, , there is no chance.

Besides his problems, he is 40.

His reputation is such that even IPL  was not buying him; came in in the last auction. That too for less than Shane Watson.

  4. No -Shane Warne has an ego the size of India...

Cricket Australia came straight out and squashed the rumors of a return to play in the Ashes....

Please read this article which i posted on a question the same as this yesterday.....

  5. Warne's time is up - past the use by date.  Time for Australian cricket to move on.  By the time the Ashes come around he'll be 40.  Besides Australia should be bringing on new spinners not retaining the old ones.

The is no doubt that Warne is a good reader of the game and canny strategist. However outside the game he has proved himself time and again to be a dead set loud-mouth goose, a mug lair. Not really what you want or need for a captain of a touring team.

  6. Even if he wishes, there is no chance for him to return to Australian Team as Captain.

  7. He is a great captain but a test match is tottaly different to a 20-20 match. you need to be on the ball 24/7,a test match is 5 days. I believe that Warne is an excellent captain for rajasthan royals... he's and excellent 20-20 captain, that's all.

ponting is one of the greatest captains around...to replace him with a player RECENTLY acknowledged as a good captain is a stupid move for the Australian cricket team.

  8. No - he shouldn't return back...

Don't do it shane ! - read this...

  9. Not any more.

But if it had happened a few years ago and without his personal drama, he might have made it.

  10. i think no

  11. No because aussies are doing well with ponting and if he set back they have to feel the difficulties as a new captain may take time to get settled!

  12. What on earth gave you the impression Warne is a better captain than Ponting.Warne may be good as the captain of IPL teams but captaining Australia is a different job altogether. Ponting is the most succesful captain of Australia.

Warne has made it very clear that he is not retuning to Australian team for the ashes. That article was a wrong one.He has said he is enjoying his retired life with his kids.

Please don't judge Australian captains with the way they play in stupid IPL matches.Warne may definitely be better than the indian captains in IPL,but he is not better than Ponting.

  13. No....He is an over rated fat ***...

What does he need some money for his mobile phone calls or for his cigarettes....

  14. no
