The Only Truth: Nice objective answer....without all the fanboy c**p. That's what I wanted.

I'm a Dolphin fan btw so the steroid remarks have no effect on me.

  1. I love how all anybody can do is talk about how he briefly used steroids.  Who wouldn't want this guy on their team.  He is intense..and can turn a game around.  If it will lengthen his career or keep him from doing further damage...he should go with surgery.

  2. He should go for the surgery, I'd rather have no Merriman for one season, then Never

Its gonna be tough watching football, and no LIGHTS OUT

  3. He'll just get all up on steroids and play through the season.

  4. have surgery for sure...the knee will continue to get worse and worse and then it will end his career

  5. Surgery for sure.  That is best for him and the team.  He's not going to be the same player on a knee that bad.  If he plays on it and damages it further to the point where he'll never be the same player (or ends his career), the Chargers certainly aren't going to take care of him.  They'll pay him whatever guaranteed money that they owe him and then send him packing.  It makes no sense for him to not have the surgery.  One semi productive season on a bad knee is not worth a number of future seasons with the possibility of another huge contract.

  6. i think he should go ahead wif the surgery because eventhoygh his gonna be a big lost 2 da chargers this season,it would be worst if he sufered a carerr ending injury

  7. Really, an easy answer.  As a young guy with an entire career of terrorizing QBs in his future, hes GOTTA opt for surgery.

Keep in mind though, even WITH merriman, the chargers defense only pressured the opposing QB on roughly 10 % of their snaps, worst in the league.  A merriman-less defense might mean a long, longggg season for the charger secondary.

  8. well i dont really know how bad the knee is... if tis so bad that if he plays this season it could end up as a career ending injury then he should get surgery... the surgery would only keep him out about 3/4 of a season... dats better than the rest of his life

  9. Surgery. at only 24, He is WAY too young to be jeopardizing what could be a long, successful career. I don't think the CHARGERS, want that, either.

  10. surgery and miss the season.

  11. thats what the steroid lovin fool deserves. why has the nfl endorsed this steroid cheatin fool? good for him i hope his career is over.

  12. Neither. He's in Mexico right now, buying more steroids.

  13. sorry....LIghts out!
