Should She ask for a raise???

My mom has been bugging me and bugging me on If she should ask her boss for a raise. Here's the story, she was talking to coworker who had joined 2 months after she had. The co-worker said that she had gotten a raise two years ago. My mom is a realtor and wants to know if she should ask her broker to increase her commision. and the thing is she doesn't even use office facilities bcause we live 200 miles away. She has a paycheck coming, Should she ask?

generally you arent supposed to know what a coworker makes but i do not know the situation but she should ask why she didnt get one most companies give raises anually after they evaluate the employees performance

What does she have to lose by asking?  Does she deserve a raise?  Is she at least as productive as her co-worker?  As long as she deserves a raise, ask for it!
