  1. Why?

  2. NHL Stands for NATIONAL Hockey League.

  3. All southern teams should be up north and ecspeacially in CANADA!!!

  4. What about Colorado? Sorry but I like the Dallas Stars where they are. Besides they can't move North, Minnesota already has a new team. Now the 'Canes could go back to being the Hartford Whalers and I wouldn't mind. Anyway I'd be for getting rid of some teams, moving others north, then shorten the season so we don't get ice like we get in the Stanley Cup finals where it is warm/hot everywhere in June. That will never happen though. Besides they want the Southern teams to "grow the sport"

  5. I think they should move up a COUPLE of teams up north. THat aren't doing well with money, fan and the team.

Atleast one should come to canada

  6. And what exactly what is this supposed to mean. Hockey is not only a northern sport you just have the advantage of it being up-north were the ice is. We struggle for rinks were I am. The jr. Thrashers practice at 4:30 am because that is the only time avaible when the Thrashers aren't there... you know thats sad so why exactly is there a need to move them it would just cost alot of money

  7. But why?

  8. Nope, but maybe you should move further north

  9. Are you for real? Yes there are a few teams in the South that can't support themselves. That doesn't include those that you listed.  It might surprise a few out there though...that the 6 teams in Canada make up 31% of the total revenue of the NHL. 6 out of 30.

  10. What a concept. Rather than an Amateur draft a City that finishes out of the playoffs could draft a team from those that finish in the playoffs. That way Toronto, St. Louis, Los Angeles, and Chicago can end there long losing streaks by drafting the entire teams from another city. What a wonderful plan.

  11. Good idea then move all the teams that won the Cup up North to move down South.I can see it now "2011 Stanley Cup Champion Fort Lauderdale Canadiens."

  12. yeah. While we're at it lets move the Panthers, Preds, Tampa Bay Rays, Florida Marlins, Rockets, St. Louis Rams and other major league teams north.

Why? Let's see the Ducks won last year, Canes prior to them, Tampa a few years ago. Those Southern teams are terrible.

  13. WTF are you talking about?  Why would you penalize successful teams?  I pray that you are a p*****n, that does not have a fully developed brain.

  14. No, I don't see why they should.

  15. I got a brillant idea.  How about all the teams in America move to Canada.  That might make you more happy.  Canada is where the fans are at.  h**l with the USA move the league to Canada.  Yes I am from the USA if anyone wonders.

I don't think the league can really call itself the NATIONAL hockey league when it has teams in TWO nations.  Actually I find that hypocritical.

  16. No. Why would a team leave their fanbase? Its ticket sales that keep the league alive.

  17. Hockey is in the south, live with it.  Don't like, do some market analysis.  Your question has no logic behind it.

  18. Yes, yes and yes! Bring home the Whalers and Jets..and maybe convert the Atlanta Thrashers to the Quebec Nordiques.

All these southern expansion teams did was water down the talent pool. The league needs to go back to 21 teams. 30 is way too many.

  19. Gary Bettman is that you?

Dallas has a great fan base and Tampa has gotten pretty good too once they started winning.  What good does it do to take away teams in good or growing markets?

Cities that support their teams and are profitable should have a team no matter where they are located.  Dallas is a success no matter how you look at it.  LA is a success (not on the ice so much).  Winnipeg and Quebec City were not even close to being profitable.

  20. No but the Southern teams who have not won it should.
