Should Tasmania be a country?

This is a serious question. Not just because they are an Island by them selves. But it seems to me that the Australian government doesn't take much notice of them. But just want other peoples opinion on it.

  1. No, International law recognizes the right of self determination of people. If the majority of Tasmanians wanted to the answer would be yes but there doesn't even seem to be an independence movement at all so the answer is clearly no.
