I mean really, the last thing I want to see while I have my food is some bird telling me she pees herself all the time. Bit wrong. Everyone knows it's available so WHY WHY WHY?!!

  1. I can't say I let it bother me all that much.  There are worse adverts on TV.

  2. I've seen worse at dinner-time, back in the late 70's just as you would be about to put the first forkfull of dinner in your mouth - on would come the farming ads by the vet drugs companies (I live in Ireland - so back then we were much more agricultural) aimed at the farmers to use their products to dip, douse, inoculate and treat the stock for the likes of:

Liver fluke, Lungworm and also Mastitis (to name but a few) - and they all showed exactly what the little critters looked like (just in case you had a microscope handy !!)

Mind you I will never forget the mange mites - wtf !! (I can still see them in my dreams)

I don't watch much tv anymore.

In comparison the Tena pads ads are akin to the kitchen towel ones !

  3. Should tampons be advertised on tv?

  4. Let's hope you never have to look after an elderly relative.

  5. You think it would be better if they were advertised on the radio?

  6. For that matter, why advertise erectile dysfuntion medications, baby diapers, feminine hygyene, herpes medications, or any of the other really gross things that come across...

Well, I suppose it is freedom of speech...

  7. Why cant women learn to get to the loo on time?

  8. Don't see the problem - if it helps someone why not.  Lots of stuff advertised is gross but while people need it............

  9. I never watch the telly when I´m eating, so I don´t mind what they advertise in the way of "hygiene/sexual/health " products.

    (I`ve been a copycat too) .

  10. Advertisments are all boring. Do we really need anything advertised?

  11. Don't moan about it...you never know they might come in useful for you one day .

  12. Ooh that little giggle made me very grateful for my Tena's there.

    lol...

  13. I didn't know they existed until they were!

Mind you I would have found out eventually since you now get a sample of the 'always' version of these in your bounty 'mum to be' pack - nice, I especially didn't need telling that pregnancy and childbirth would probably make me incontinent!

  14. Are you kidding moi? What with the swearing, nudity, sexual innuendos`s s*x and the City!!! etc., etc what`s a leak or two between friends.  Its good these things are out in the open, how else would some  people  who are too embarrassed even to talk about it to the doctors, know they are not alone. You want to hope its not ,there but for the grace of god go I

  15. You know the mute button on the Remote Control? This can be used whenever you want to cut out the sound of adverts. I do this and I have never known what some of the actors are talking about.

  16. Yup not at tea time

  17. NO! -  it is not necessary to advertise such things on TV, I also cannot see why any sanitary articles for woman should be "shown" off at all, all woman need such things, they can choose their own brand/type/etc., without the need for them to be put on TV.

I think it should still be a subject kept private NOT a secret hidden from young girls eyes in an old fashioned way, BUT just privately discrete.

These days everything seems to be paraded in public, lets just keep something private!    call me old fashioned if you like I am 57, very broad minded...........

  18. Well...she might need a Tena pad to cope with the trikcle when she laughs following childbirth of people like you?  What would happen if you needed them?  Yeh...blokes and women use them!  Men are not advertised to so often as they are more likely to use the free nappies on the NHS or 'convenes'....like a condom with a tube that drains the wee away.

What about nappies and hairy men shaving?  What about ladies ripping out body hair with wax strips on TV?   Most people use it for the pubic region anyway!  ~And 'blue blood' on the sanitary adverts?

I think you are anti-women or anti-old people or possible both....cos most adverts are gross...you just haven't thought about them yet!

    Have a nice tea.

PS They advertise at tea-time cos that is when older people are more likely to view.   You could always turn the box off! xx

  19. PMSL, oops, Do they do em for men

    Lol

  20. Everyone knows tampons are available, and yet there are ads for them. If there can be advertisements for feminine hygeine products and sexual health products then incontinence pads can be advertised too.
