If you think about it supporting Private schools would lower the cost of those schools which would remove some of the over-population of public school. When i say Private schools i mean those supported by religious faction (catholic, jewish, muslim, etc.) Also it would create a greater sense of community. That my opinion on it but whats yours?

  1. Government support of a religious school constitutes an act of establishment of religion in violation of the 1st amendment.

Furthermore, religious affiliated schools and churches in general despise science which is backed up by verifiable evidence when it contradicts their religious text that was made up by people thousands of years ago who did not have a clue as to how anything worked.

They teach mythology which has no evidence to back it up and and try to pass it off as science. This is one of the biggest reasons that the US is lagging behind the rest of the developed world in the realm of science education.

It is not in the best interest of the people of this country to reduce the quality level of education by promoting religious schools especially when you consider that it is unconstitutional to do so.

Edit - Voucher programs are only government waste.

The tax payers have already paid for the school and the teachers and will continue to have to pay for the teachers in the public schools.

If you don't want to send your child to the publicly funded school you can pay for it yourself.

Edit 2 - Non religious private colleges are publicly funded, the nut jobs have to pay to go to their nut job colleges themselves.

  2. The government should give every family a voucher for each child.

The voucher should cover full cost at public school or defray some of the cost of a private school.

    The result?

Public schools would have to uphold quality to earn that voucher.

Private schools would have to keep prices within reason to have any chance at earning that voucher.

    Education problem solved!

  3. No.  They would no longer be private.  And the government would force them to be secular.

  4. The government should support nothing with any religious relation what so ever.
