  1. I look for him to go to RCR or back to open wheel racing. He is not happy at JGR.

  2. no way tony will not be w joe gibbs he will more likely be w/ rcr or hendrick man if hendrick got him he would have a dream team.  tony and jr work well together an jeff and jimmie work well together

  3. I know how he feels about that T-car, and I can see the temper starting to build.... but Gibbs has been mighty good to Tony over the years, standing up for his mouth and his pranks.

If he wants to further his career and become a part-owner, I understand that, too. I think he''ll do what he has to do to get back behind a bowtie.

  4. can you say JR MOTORSPORTS?

  5. I've actually seen somewhere that stated from him that said he is staying with Joe and JD.  He also said that he'd stay at Gibbs until he retires.  PERIOD, END OF STORY.

  6. I'm afraid he's got one foot out the door.

Kind of sucks.  I have all kinds of stuff (die-cast, clothing, flags, h**l - even toothbrushes) that will become obsolete.

I want him to stay.  Even if he gets ownership - he should still stay.  Owner-Driver is a rare thing that works.  Even Dale Earnhardt never drove for his own team.

Who are your current owner-drivers?  Robby Gordon - single team struggling to stay alive; Michael Waltrip - he's moving forward, but barely, and only with the help of Toyota and Gibbs; You could say Petty, and he's barely hanging on too.  Even in NNS - Kevin Harvick rarely drove his own car before this year, same with Earnhardt Jr.

I'm all for him starting his own team.  BUT he should sign with Gibbs for another 4 years while his team is being built into the team that it should be.  He could use the $$$ and the resources (what he could get from them.)

Good Luck - Tony - wherever you end up.

  7. Tony needs to get back in a Chevy.  Period. End of Story. And all will be right in the world.

  8. only if he feels he can get a better deal for him and more importantly, for his future.  if car ownership is offered, and that's what he wants, and gibbs has said that's not an option, then he should do what his heart tells him to do.  i'll still keep his diecasts and his name and sponsor logo on the back of my jgr team shirt, no matter what he does.

  9. He wont leave JG till he gets an offer for an ownership and he has made that very clear.

he wants to drive Chevy, but I don't think they will give him what he wants.......
