  1. It'll be a cold day in h**l if the NFL chose to put a team in Toronto over Los Angeles. Being from Toronto, i'd love to see an NFL team here, but in all likelyhood, not a chance. The Bills playing in Toronto is just a branding strategy by the NFL to peak interest in a whole different market.

  2. Toronto does a relatively poor job of supporting the Blue Jays.  I am sure a new NFL team in Toronto would be well supported for the first several years, but the question is how well long term support would go.

The Argos are decently supported now, but they have had lean years.  There are more than enough people in Toronto to attend the games.  Look at how well smaller markets fill their stadiums.

Short answer:  I don't know, but I don't think you can look at the Maple Leafs and Raptors to answer the question.  Add the Blue Jays to the mix.

  3. Toronto could definitely support an NFL team.

My fellow Americans fail to realize that Toronto is a Major Metropolis. Larger than most NFL cities.

Besides, MONEY IS MONEY! That's what the NFL is after.

I hope Toronto is i the NFL's future.

  4. NO, no and no.

Leave the CFL alone. Expand in Canada, but the NFL should stay in the USA.

  5. We don't need a team from the No Fun League, especially since it would do irreparable damage to the CFL, which plays our own brand and style of football.

  6. no they r not ready...

  7. I thought Torontonians liked the Bills, since they play very close to Canada

  8. For the record, the Raptors are averaging over 19 thousand fans a game this season, and have great support in TO.  The dumbass American who types in all-caps needs to stay away from the CFL section...

Anyways, this is probably the most-asked question on the CFL section.  As a Torontonian, I would support an NFL franchise if it came here, but I don't think there's a high likelihood of that happening.

  9. CBC Radio reported this morning that the Bills will play several home games (exhibition and regular season) in Toronto over the next several years.

I still don't see Toronto getting a team of its own because it won't do anything for NFL TV revenues.

This is likely just another NFL publicity stunt and a way to generate ownership interest in places like LA and San Antonio.

  10. NO. THEY ARE NOT READY FOR EXPANSION OUT OF US YET. PLUS LOOK AT THE SUPPORT FOR THE RAPTORS IN TORONTO. h**l GET A DAM TEAM IN LA FIRST ITS ONLY THE SECOND LARGEST MEDIA MARKET IN THE US.

  11. Not if its going to try to wipe out some more of our Canadian heritage, identity, sovereignty, trying to wipe out the CFL would be next.  I could just see the NFL marketers put down the CFL, it would be necessary because its in competition with CFL, and it would insulting.  Its the American Way, go to some other country and put them down, and supplant American ways there instead.  Its not good.

With basketball and the NBA it was perfectly fine and OK because they were adding more sports to Toronto, not displacing any other existing team or league or Canadian heritage.

  12. It will affect the CFL in Ontario but personally I think it won't be affected in places like Saskatchewan or BC. I think the city of Toronto can prosper from having an NFL team so I think yes we should get an NFL team.

  13. Should New York get a CFL team?

  14. Nope. If they show up, It might be a restricted event.  lol :)

  15. yes,  this way lions fans will have a winning team to go see

  16. No they should no because it will mess up the CFL season
