  1. of course ,that's way right for every people just like IP of internet for our life!

  2. No. No, and NO again. If Turkey joins the EU, that means the EU will border Iraq and other dangerous states. Turkey will be too much of an economic burden, it wall take out more than it puts in. Turkey is not even really part of Europe, oh ok one city of turkey is in europe, so what. Spain has Enclaves in africa, Ceuta and Melilla to be specific, but they arent part of the AU.

The U.S has territory in the Caribbean but it isnt part of Caricom. Turkey is not a secular country. Its far from it. Its secular compared to other middle eastern states? get outta here with that nonsense. In turkey, honor killings are still carried out, you get arrested for talking bad about the army, you get arrested for talking bad about the "founding father". If that is secular, then this world is lost really.

Turkey cannot relate to european countries and populations. If i were a euro, i would not want them in, its like an outsider forcing their way in someplace where they are not wanted. Most euros can relate to each other because of their religion, common history, and they are all part of the indo-european subgroup. Turkey would be the Elephant hanging with the orangutans.

It would be ludicrous for turkey to join, if they join the EU, France and spain should join the AU and the U.S should join the Arab Union since it currently owns arab/muslim lands (iraq, afghanistan, planning to annex iran shortly) and countries that own land in the caribbean should join caricom.

Heck no, the EU should not allow a country that borders iraq and other dangerous countries, or a country that still is extreme in the sense where freedom of speech is limited and honor killings are an accepted part of society, that has nothing in common historically, culturally, and economically with the other member states.

  3. Aren't they trying to do that right now?  To become the first Muslim country in the EU?  It makes a lot of sense for Turkey, If the rest of the EU says yes, than that's good for them I guess.

  4. No one wants there ! Look what happened to Bulgaria and Romania ! Unless its a powerfull economic coutry getting in EU is a big mistake...

  5. Should they? Probably yes it might help their economy a little. Are there objections? Certainly, being a muslim country plays its part against them and their economy is in no great shape. Also with the amount of new countries to have joined the EU infrastructure to them will be scarce as Eastren Europe will be built up first.

  6. One simple word:

    NO.

ps: haven't there been like 534803 questons on this subject on yahoo?

  7. Turkey must not be allowed to join the EU because it is located in Asia.

  8. Nooooooooooooooo and No!!!!

Istanbul Pogrom:"A man who was fearful of being beaten, lynched or cut into pieces would imply and try to prove that he was both a Turk and a Muslim. "Pull it out and let us see," they would reply. The poor man would peel off his trousers and show his "Muslimness" and "Turkishness": And what was the proof? That he had been circumcised. If the man was circumcised, he was saved. If not, he was doomed. Indeed, having lied, he could not be saved from a beating. For one of those aggressive young men would draw his knife and circumcise him in the middle of the street and amid the chaos. A difference of two or three centimetres does not justify such a commotion. That night, many men shouting and screaming were Islamized forcefully by the cruel knife. Among those circumcised there was also a priest".Pontic Greek Genocide death toll of 600,000 Greeks in Anatolia,Armenian Genocide1.200.000/1.300.000!!!!!!!!!!!  ,Cyprus!!!!!!!......IT'S TOO MUCH TO FORGET.

  9. Why not they (Turkey) are the most secular of the Muslim States.

Millions of Turks have worked and lived in Germany since 1950's as guest workers.

These Turkish people when they retire, go home to live in Turkey and would understand very well the need for the Turkish government to adopt some of the Western ways with regards Freedom of Speech, Religious rights and tolerance of other ethnic minorities.

The Turkish people are primarily a business community, and understand there is no room in their world for Muslim Fundamentalists who would not tolerate such an open attitude.

  10. If the EU really wants to promote its laws and conditions set which candidate countries need to meet in order to join, then no, Turkey should not be allowed to join the EU. The economy issues, the wave of immigration that would flow over the borders of Turkey are the lesser evil; the main one being in the department of human rights. No country with such problematic report on human rights respect and observation should be allowed to join the EU.

  11. No. No. No.

They should not be allowed to given the fact of their century old denial of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
