  1. No. No free anything.  How would Mexico like it we parachuted hundreds of violent convicted felons on their major cities? I think we should.

  2. No they should not. They don't belong here and should not be using anything that is meant for citizens.

  3. I am definitely against illegals being enrolled in our colleges.  The vast majority of citizens agreed and that is why the Dream Act did not pass.  Let those that have gotten thru college here, illegally, go back to their own countries and do something with the education they obtained fraudulently here.

Our legal citizen children deserve this while the illegal criminals simply deserve deportation.

  4. Absolutley NOT, Why should illegals get a free education when our own kids have to pay most of their lifes to pay back a loan for school? Then these illegals go to school to be lawyers so they can help more illegals grrrrrrrr.

  5.   I have concerns for those who come here in false pretense to attend our colleges.    There was a study done that CHina does not use colleges to spy on our nuclear program.  WHen I saw the study, I thought two things.  China is not a big deal, since it already has a Nuclear program, and why aren't tehy concern about THe large number of Indians and Middle Easterners who might be there to support their countries Nuclear program.  If illegal immigrants are taking our college courses, they aren't being properly screen to make sure there not there to take our military secrets or help their weapons program.   Second, I do not believe that illegal immirants should be given ANY finacial help in college, with or without the Dream act being passed.  THat means no in state tuitions.   As a side note, I am not against the spirit of the dream act.   We should Punish the parents not the children who was forced into AMerica and lived here most of their lives.     Until a dream act is past, I am content to see a ban.   Our country believes that we have an obligation to all who resides in the US an OPPORTUNITY of a education up to HIgh school.  We do not have an obligation beyond that.   I do admit that I won't cry if there is no ban.

I would like to remind people  that if we kick highly educated people back to their home country, they might be mad and use that education against us.   We need to totally prevent them in entering our colleges so we won't get into that mess, or we let a REASONABLE dream act past.  We should not let something in between exist.

  6. No.

But the author of the story may pay the costs as soon as she is not a law breaker.

Mexico can pay the costs, and they are richer than the United States if they could shuck their corruption.

  7. I vote for deportation, that way we don't have to educate them or risk them joining gangs.  It's the cheapest way.

Rewarding illegals with and education may be acceptable to "some", but not to most hard working law abiding people.

  8. Under federal law, any foreign student (i.e. anyone but a US citizen or legal permanent resident) must obtain a foreign student visa (F-1) to attend any institution of higher learning -- college, community college, technical or vocational school, etc.  And they must apply from their home country and be interviewed there.

Illegal aliens do have "access" to higher education -- they can go home and apply for a student visa if they are accepted and can prove they can pay for school + living expenses in the US, or they can go to school in their own country.

  9. If they pay for their tuition, they should. Besides why to complain about people who want to have an education, that is a good example for many of our Americans who prefer to waste their time in the computer all day, teaching their children to hate others that are trying to get a career, and that makes them jealous.

  10. How about "No"?

  11. NO! They should not support ILLEGAL aliens! BUT, they do! Why don't we support heroin! Same thing, right? When they become LEGAL, then it is okay, we all came from somewhere, why should illegal aliens be able t do what others can't?

  12. no! i think that would be crazy. in a way thats like saying it ok for an illegal immigrant to be a doctor

  13. Yes, definitely.  If they can't get an education, they live on the streets and join gangs and cause problems.  They are here illegally, the least they can do is become educated and work productively and contribute something to the country.

It is much cheaper to keep them in college than in jail.

  14. NO. Only legal citizens of the US should have that opportunity.

  15. No; they should enroll citizens, legal immigrants and foreigners with  student visas; they can concern themselves with illegals after the rest of the world is taken care of. Cutting in line should never be rewarded.

  16. Yes, but they should be treated as International students, not eligible for state tuition reductions or financial aid since they aren't Americans and cant legally hold residence. Hence they are not legally even though some people put them in the system for financial aid (not including scholarship which is for academics not need). They can be enrolled but just not receive the benefits that belong to citizens from state schools and Federal aid. h**l my friend from college not an illegal had a green card wasn't a citizen, lived in Miami but was an international student not eligible for financial aid. Why should an illegal who broke the law get the benefits but those on visas and came her legally now or generations ago not have the access.

  17. We should put as many Road Blocks in the way of living in the US as possible.Even allowing Illegal Immigrants access to our Public School system at all is a mistake. The idea being that the more hurdles there are for Illegals, the easier it is to catch them. You see their kids not in school, you investigate why,and when you find out they're Illegals, out they go.Any opportunity to cause them to run afoul of Law Enforcement, thus getting caught and getting deported is a a good thing. You don't stop Illegal Immigration by making it easier to live here Illegally, you stop it by making it nearly impossible.

  18. A BIG fat h**l NO!!! lets stop the leeching, if they want to go to school here apply for a student visa...

  19. no.....send em' packing!

  20. Private colleges: let them do what they want and keep the government regulations out of the private organization.

Public colleges: NO, they are supported by the tax money from Legal residents, they should benefit legal residents only. (note, by "legal residents" I'm referring to anyone who is in the USA legally, not just citizens).

  21. No.  It's to easy too get a student visa for that to even be an issue.

  22. Frankly no help from the public funds if they come here. If they wish to pay for it, let em, however like I said, why should they get help when US citizens rarely get help?

However I think we should have some sort of middle ground here. Become a student and have a student visa and allow that fufill the residency requirement and while they study here give them the chance to naturalize and when they graduate (depending on what degree they are aiming for.) half half of their citizenship requirement based on them Achieving their degree. The other half is being able pass a citizenship test and show that they appreciate American culture and are able to be a part of it sucessfully.
