Should Valencia youngster Francisco ‘Paco’ Alcacer leave Mestalla - La Liga Special
Valencia have let go of their key first team players over the last couple of transfer windows. The trend continues but it’s their academy products are being targeted by the hounding clubs now. Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez, nicknamed Isco, left Mestalla
for Malaga in a 6 million Euros deal and now Francisco ‘http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paco-c29025’ Alcacer is being scouted by clubs across the continent.
La Liga Champions Barcelona are keeping tabs on the promising striker. Paco was the subject of eight loan proposals over the summer but Unai Emery decided to retain his enterprising services.
Talks took place between the representatives of both clubs in the summer. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 offered a paltry 3 million Euros for his services. The offer was rejected by Los Che on first viewing due to their higher valuation of the 18-year-old. Alcacer has a minimum
fee release clause of 9 million Euros in his contract, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 will be looking to get the most out of the deal.
Failure to reach an agreement has alerted English club Arsenal. The Gunners manager, Arsene Wenger, wants to add the promising youngster to his ranks as he continues in his elusive search for silverware. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 will be looking to outsmart their Catalonian
counterparts after parting ways with the club captain, Cesc Fabregas.
The London-based club face a tough task ahead of them as the youngster has an interesting clause in his contract that allows him to join Barcelona. A clause in his contract, which runs until 2013, states that he will be allowed to leave for Camp Nou should
the Catalans match any acceptable incoming bid for the player. bid for the player a respectable bid come along.
Furthermore, Los Che are in a race against time to incorporate the highly-rated youngster in their first team. Alcacer will be allowed to leave on a free if he is not a part of first team setup by the end of June 2012. This essentially means that when the
time comes, the Spaniard should have a squad number and would have to be training with the first team on a regular basis.
The youngster has added to the troubled club’s woes by refusing two offers for an improved contract. Los Che do not want a repeat of the deal that took Isco to Andalusia and are desperate to find a way around.
Alcacer has been phenomenal in the Segunda Division with Valencia B. He has a healthy tally of 33 goals in 54 league games, which is not bad for an 18-year-old still trying to make the jump to the first team at Mestalla. He made his debut with the first
team last year in Copa del Rey, playing the full 90 minutes in a 4–1 home win against UD Logroñés.
The youngster looks to have a bright future ahead of him. He has represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Junior-c20060 levels, exhibiting his prolific form in front of goal on each subsequent stage. However, he needs to keep his head down and continue to work hard. A move to
Camp Nou or Emirates Stadium looks enticing but he will be resigned to peripheral roles at these clubs, which will not help him continue his footballing education. He needs first team minutes in La Liga, and in views of this writer, Paco Alcacer should stay
with Valencia if he wishes to fulfill his potential.
