Should Verizon cover the cost of my cell phone bill?

My Verizon service (internet and residential phone) was supposed to be ready on July 1st. When I found out it wasn't working I contacted them immediately and I was told my service would be fixed on Friday. However, a technician did not come on Friday. The problem was not resolved until July 16th. During this time I used a lot of my cell phone minutes talking to rude customer service representatives at Verizon trying to get this problem resolved. I also had to make important phone calls using my cell phone since I didn't have a residential phone. I never go over my cell phone minutes I usually have at least half of them left. Verizon is only giving me $50 towards my internet and residential bill with Verizon. Should I be compensated more?

  1. I believe in this situation you should press for more, the fact of the matter is, is you paid a bill that you didn't even have the internet nor residential phone for half the month, so i believe that they should pay for the half that you didn't rally have the service.
