Since cricket board of South Africa and England last week suspended bilateral ties with Zimbabwe in protest at the deteriorating political situation in Harare.These both countries are want to suspend the zim. team but Asian bloc led by the India also oppose the move.As such it would be very difficult to banned Zimbabwe Cricket team from the International Cricket.

Well, given the fact that loads of the top Zimbabwean players (black as well as white) have given up playing cricket in Zimbabwe, many of them have left the country, and some have received death threats because of their stance against the political regime in Zimbabwe, I don&#039;t see how you can keep politics out of the game.

Yes, Zimbabwe should be banned from international cricket. Mugabe is using the team, and always has done, for propoganda purposes.

We should not be pandering to the whim of a crazy despot dictator.

Zimbabwe have nothing of value to offer international cricket at present, and this is precisely because of the appalling situation in that country.

The Asian block should stop thinking about votes around the ICC table, and put human life first.

Politics must never enter the arena of international sports competition.  It shouldn&#039;t have been used in the Olympics in the past nor in the future.  Cricket is no different - leave it limited to the politics of cricket.  It only hurts the innocent players.

Usually I would say that politics should stay away from sport. However in this case I feel different because funding, supporting and allowing the Zimbabwe team to travel and play overseas teams gives credence to a despot who sees these kinds of games as nothing more than an opportunity to spew more of his desperate vitriol and lunatic rantings.

I feel sorry for the players and the team as they have nothing to do with Mugabe or the situation in the country. It&#039;s sad that the team is being used as a political pawn, and it is a little unfair that they seem to be the only Zimbabwean sports team looking at a ban. However I think nothing but a ban would send out the message that what is going on in the country is not acceptable (not that I think Mugabe would listen).

No. Zimbabwe is corrupt to the core, their Cricket board included, but all the players rely on cricket to support themselves, their family, to avoid living like the rest of their country in absolute poverty. You can&#039;t let those players down. It is cricket that maintains a international connecting to that country. W can&#039;t cut them off.
