  1. That would be up to the parents, when I was a kid, all of the kindergarteners had pocket knives, and some most used them at school.

Today you get expelled from school for having a knife.... so it would be up to the parent to decide if their child was responsible enough

  2. In the"old days" it was quite normal for a boy to have a pocket knife of his own, starting around 8 years old to "whittle" or do other things(lol, even though I am female, I used to play a knife game called"eat the peg" when I was a kid). I think almost everyone( except maybe the boy scouts) look down on the practice now. Still I think it's nice for everyone to have a survival knife, because you never know when you need it...but not an 11 year old. See if you can get into scouting.

  3. Yep, I collected them.

  4. Definatly not. While it may be for airsoft, you could take it to school, get annoyed, and stab someone.

  5. It all depends on the maturity of the boy actually.  If it is for carving and under supervision I would say it would be okay.  As long as the child knows that it must never be used as a weapon.

  6. NO. it is unsafe. If he wants to play with things give him toys, or if he keeps on doing it tell him how worried you are!!

  7. That is a hard question. My son is 9 he has a pocket knife, atvs and does extreme amounts of work on are farm. We own 12000 acres, so we live in the middle the country. Basicly my point is you have to take into consideration of your childs maturity and personality, also loction and use. There is a difference bewtween a 6 inch buck knife and a multi tool or even a 1 inch swiss army knife.

  8. It is okay as long as he knows how to use the knife safely, take care of the knife, and knows that there is consequences for not following these. Then again it is really hard to build a fort with a pocket knife.

  9. sure as long as he is careful

  10. no.

  11. NO. when i was in the first grade a boy used that excuse and almost sliced my best friend up.

  12. By today's standards probably not. Age, though, is a relative thing. If that 11 year old has been around knives all his life and realizes the damage they can cause I'd say it isn't as bad!

  13. How mature is he....Thats whats depending....Acidents happen...But if you expalin good what can happen and what its used for then....you can see upon his reactions!!

  14. well no, not when he's alone because if something happens with the knife it will become a huge hassel, wait a bit to give it back.

  15. Ummm, no do you really have to ask?

  16. 11 no

  17. no..

not unless hes with a parent or an adult when he's doing that

  18. not really

  19. No

  21. ummmmm no
