Should a 12 year old get a Zune 80GB or a IPod Touch 8GB?

Question

I Dont have many songs in my library so the reason i want a zune is becuse of its features and big screen.

Though ipod touch is good too, but more expensive.

Which is better, if money mattered, and if mony didnt matter?

i think you should get the ipod touch. It has a bug screen and internet though if your looking for something cheaper why not just get the iphone you basically get the ipod touch installed in it and it's a phone, internet,calculator,notebook,it's everything almost. I have the iphone and i love it! i don't even need my ipod anymore.

well u should get the zune because its more capacity around the same price as the ipod touch and less. but if u want more style u should get the ipod touch

dont get either...unless you want to play lots of movies or videos. 80 gigs is way too much especially if you dont have an extensive music library...80 gigs is like over 15,000 songs and u dont need that. The ipod touch sux for music because to change songs and wat not there are no dedicated keys so to change songs you hav to unlock the screen go to the menu and change the song where on any other mp3 player you hav dedicated keys to skip songs. Its a hassle and overpriced. I think you consider a nano or the smaller zune. Its much more cost effective and is better for the amount of music u hav.

If you're 12, I think you should get an iPod nano. Not that this was one of the options you listed, but I'll back up my answer. Apple products are very reliable, and Apple is very good with service and replacing products when they are defective/have software problems. I have an iPod video 30GB, and it pretty much died. I went in to the Apple store and they swapped it out for a new one no problem, the same with my iPhone. When my laptop had problems, they repaired it ASAP. I know a lot of people who have Apple products that have had no problems. Another reason I don't think you should get the Zune, other than Apple's superior customer service, is because 80GB is way too much if you don't have a lot of songs. Even if it costs less, its a waste of space. The iPod Nano is small, lightweight, and holds only what you need if you have a small library. And it will still play videos if you want them. So I say, regardless of whether money matters, get the iPod because in the long run it's your better value. Longer lasting, better service, etc.

I'm very happy with me 80GB iPod Video.

I'm 12 too, but if you don't have many songs, I recommend the iPod Nano because It is small, and cute.

But If you want a big screen I would go for the Touch, the nice touch screen, internet, and nice things like that. =)

GET THE ZUNE!

I own a Zune 80gb and I love it.  I don't think i could ever fill the memory.  The movies/videos are great quality and the music sounds great too.  The screen is really big (like 4 inches diagonally) for the price. It also comes with really cool headphones that block outside sound when you listen to music which I love.  The iPod Touch has way less memory and is more expensive (and apple products are never reliable) so I would stick with the Zune.

I think you should get the Zune, because that costs less money. And when you outgrow it or it breaks or something you can always go up to the better player, the iPod touch. Most of the features on the iPod touch you won't use as much at your age. You'll need them when you're older. If you get the iPod now, there's pretty much no better player that I can think of.
