  1. yeah sure i was reading them at that age!!

  2. Yeah, theres nothing wrong with them as far as her age goes.

It's not inappropriate or anything like that, right?

When I was 12, I used to read Seventeen and CosmoGirl all the time, they were a bit mature for my age, but I liked reading them because they explained things that I was embarrassed to ask my mom about (things like period questions, or hair/shaving type of things).  So I liked reading them for that reason.  And I also liked the articles, fashion advice, and hair tips, but mostly it was for those articles.

  3. i'm 13 and i think mizz and girl talk are for children under the age of 13. in other words not for teenagers. i now read sugar which is good. maybe its what all the other girls at school are reading so she wants to. you have a look through it before she does thats what my mum used to do before i was 13.

  4. it shows shes grown up. so yes she shud be.just keep her away from cosmopolitan

  5. yeah...its normal..

  6. yeah..its fine just she'll read problem pages and that and they'll be a bit more grown up. i wouldnt worry.

  7. why not?

  8. Sugar and Bliss magazines are a bit too old for 12 year olds beause they talk about s*x and other grown up things

Try Shout magazine it has all the same fashion, beauty tips and advice without the grown up stuff.

    they have a website www.shoutmag.co.uk

  9. No I don't think she should.

Unfortunately though, I remember being 12/13 and I would have wanted to.

So, God help me in the next 2 years then - my daughter's 10 and still into Girltalk at the moment. Try and balance it with some other reading.

  10. Yeah, I shouldn't see why not. I think they're mostly marketed around the 13-15 year old mark, but my younger sister is 12 and I can definitely imagine her reading something a bit more grown up than girl talk.

  11. wth are sugar an bliss???

  12. Well i started reading them when i was 12 i think.Girl talk and others do get boring because they don't have much writing, and loads of photos, and i think if your daughter wants to read them, she might just want to do some more reading and read more gossip that wouldnt be shown in other magazines.

The problem with Bliss and Sugar is that they have problem pages about s*x, boys, health ect. But they do always, always tell the readers that you cant have s*x till your 16 and always use protection. If you havent had the TALK with her, then i dont she should read it, or if you think shes ready to know , tell her and then let her read the magazines.

  13. Yeah its fine, I used to read sugar and bliss around that age. I'm into More and Heat now!

  14. No I don't think so, my daughter is 12 and she was reading them but she was also worrying really badly about the problem pages in them so we have agreed to wait a while.
