Im 16 from Dumfries (Scotland) and have already booked theatre tickets and hotel accommodations for October to go to London. Im going on my own because if my dad came i wouldnt be allowed to go to the theatre and i cant rely on my friends to commit themselves to come with me. I finally got everything basically booked and organised when suddenly my dad starts to tell his friends about what im doing, one woman who i dont even know told him she thinks im stupid to go down on my own. So basically i want to know whether you think i should follow my dreams and go to London for 3 days or cancel the trip all together?

  1. So if your dad comes with you he would not allow you to go to the theater, but he is allowing you to go to London AND the theater by yourself?

    Something is very wrong there.

  2. Yeah, you'll have a great time! Go for it. Be sensible, don't go around quieter places alone at night, be aware of  your surroundings and self and make sure you know where you are and where you're going. All the usual stuff really. Have fun! Hx

  3. You sound quite mature and seem to have organized things well so I think you should go.   London is a very safe city in most parts, and it is fascinating!  Just don't invite trouble by misbehaving or being in places you oughtn't be.

  4. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR TRIP! You know you will be sad and regret it.  My personal opition is that I would rather have someone there with me.  You know someone to share the experience with.  I found London to be pretty safe.  I would just be aware of your surroundings and try to always stay where there is people.  And have fun! I would love to know how your trip goes.  If I lived in Scotland I would be more then happy to join you LOL.

  5. You'll be fine. Just have your wits about you and take a map. Know the way to go and make sure you don't get lost. Take a phone with you so you can call people. I think it would be good for you.

I've been to London on my own before and I was fine. I'm from York so I live a long way away too. It's not a dangerous city, it's just easy to get lost.

  6. was stopping you girl. me and my friend use 2 ride the night busses through central london and around london when we were like 12 and it was like 12 - 4 am but we are from here we know are ways around and we are boys thats the only thing you need to know is your way around which aint even hard. just dont leave central london if you want to stay safe take the tube and sit downstairs on a bus and youll be good to go. Theres alot of tourists in central london of many ages but you are alone wont you get bored?? you must be rich though as your getting a hotel in central london just to go to a theatre
