  1. If he or she wants to, the parents do not object, and still have good grades.  If the grades drop, then no, I would say the education is priority.  Without a good education, higher paing jobs in the future are less likely.  Make sure if you do work, you have enough time to plan for school projects, and study time.  Also, if you are already sure of a career path, or college major, try to find work that may help you gain some experince in that field.  That way you can add that to a resume in the future.

  2. yes since school has been out i made my 16 year old son get a part time job to make his own money instead asking me al the time dad i want want want all the time instead of sitting at home playing video games in eating all the food up in the house and listeing to him say iam bored there is nothing to do so i made him get a job in learn what life is al about cause one day when he turns 18 he will have to get a real job and his own place to stay it is part of life you cant have your mom and dad support you for the rest of your life now my son thanks me for getting him the job he makes about 500 a week mowing people yards and loves it now e knows what it means earn your own so he cant just hold his hands out for you to emtpy your pockets all the time now he is fixing to turn 17 on august 5th he has saved his money up in now he has over $4,000 dollars saved up

  3. Kids have a lot of extra time on their hands.   School and studies should come first.   If good grades come easy our rule was to either participate in two sports during the school year or get a job.   When they don't have enough to do, that seems to be when trouble starts.

  4. Its different to everybody even countries some countries allows work from the age of 16 some don't. but i think that if she really needs the work go for it but only for a specific time not all the time, some places will arrange the time table for you.

but i u or she don't need the work don't do it be cause maybe it will affect your grades!

    HOPE I HELPED!!!

  5. Yes. As soon as you turn 16, or your child turns 16.. I believe they should earn their own pocket money with a Saturday or even job at a local safe resturant or shop.

It's a good way to teach them about the world of work, to earn their own money, to be able to buy their own things, the value of money ect.

+ if you're American, at 16 you learn to drive, 17 in England.. They could start paying for their own driving lessons.

I think it's a nice gentle way of blending education + work.

  6. You should get a part time job somwhere.

  7. Absolutely. Even if it's just a part time job on a Saturday. Remember, no matter how good your grades are, it's experience that future employers want. Say you got straight A's this year, and didn't work. And say your classmate got straight B's, but worked every Saturday/Sunday in a customer service environment. If you both apply for a summer job next year, he/she is more likely to get it, because experience is what counts. And the money is really handy to save for things too, so you don't need to borrow from your parents all the time

  8. Yes if you want to earn some extra cash  im 14 and i have a part time job after school at my local restaurant.

  9. school year? NO

    focus on your studies man!

  10. No.A 16 yr old school going girl should not work during school yr because it will affect his/her studies, but incase if his/her parents are old and they do not have sufficent income to support the family then it is ok.
