Im just debating on bringing my daughter to a concert that we got free tickets for. I dont plan on watching very long because it doesnt start until 7pm, but we will be there anyway because we plan on taking her to the fair and with free tickets, I figure we might as well at least watch for a little bit, but Im really still worried about the noise. Lots of people are telling me that she will be fine and some even said that you can buy toddler ear muffs or plugs..Has anyone ever brought thier child to a concert?

  1. If you are near speakers - it will be too loud.  But if you get to choose seating then you can position yourself where it isn't so loud.  I would get the ear protectors just to be safe.

  2. I would try to stay back as well. You could try the ear muffs or ear plugs, but I would be surprised if your daughter actually kept them on.

I would just listen to her cues.If she doesn't seem happy, than leave. No harm in trying (as long as the music isn't insanely loud.)

  3. I don't have children but I have seen children at concerts. One lady took a child (i'd say about 3 or 4 years old) to a black eyed peas concert (you can imagine how loud that would be). The child had ear muffs on and did not at all seem upset by the load music.

  4. She should be fine, just sit away from the speakers and get some ear muffs for her. You should be able to find them at a sporting goods store. I take my son flying in a small plane, which is extremely loud, he has his own ear muffs, and the doctor says his hearing is great (it gets checked routinely because of a speech delay)

  5. My husband is a band and I brought my son to see him play and he is 3 months old oh  he love it. It didn't seem to bother him at all. But in the end is all up to you.

  6. It depends on what type of music it is and what the levels are.

If it's going to be very loud, I would avoid it. If it's acoustic, it's probably OK, though at that age she's going to get restless and want to wander around.
