  1. Not unless he's got a lot of money to burn.

  2. You should do what you want. Nurse make good money those days. Just make sure 4 kids are taking care of.  Investing in the future is work.

  3. If you have the resources and the money to support yourself and your family then YES. Go ahead and get an education I promise you will not regret it. Sometimes you need to take some time and focus on yourself before you can focus on others. Plus, you will end up with a better career in the end.

Good luck in all that you do

  4. If he can find a way to make sure his family is supported while he does this, sure.  But he has responsibility now and he has to think of that first.

If he has a wife, he probably needs to get her take on this.

  5. Well, why not?  You didn't mention how you will support your family...are you married?  Does your spouse work?

How old are the kids.  The younger they are the better they will adjust to the lack of money while you go to school.

The other question you have to ask yourself is how much money will you need in the next four years for your kids, say for college, sports, you name it.

  6. I think it's never to late to follow a dream however how does he plan on supporting those 4 kids maybe do school full time and work full time. I do.

  7. never too late to go back to school. not a smart thing to not work. theres still bills to pay buddy.

  8. No way

  9. no

  10. You can make a boatload of money being a nurse because there is a shortage. If you can bite the bullet for 4 years the pay off would be there. And make sure to go to a 4 yr. or at least get your BSN.

  11. first of all don't let any one tell you that only girls should be nurses!! if its really what you want to do go for it! just because of your situation doesn't mean that you shouldn't be able to go after what you want. GOOD LUCK!!!!

  12. If you can afford it yes. Do your maths. Work as a team.

  13. If he can get help to cover family expenses or the wife earns enough money to cover the bills then maybe not. If the family would struggle to pay bills then yes he should work at least part time if not go to school part time and work full time.

  14. If its realistic, affordable, and thought through... YES.  It's a great idea, but the financial obligations of four children are high.  I suggest filling out a FASFA and seeing what you are eligible for in the FinAid department and go from there.

  15. sounds g*y. no offense to your ideas

  16. If you are ok with support the family with out his income he should go for this.  I would expect that he should be able to work at least part time.   Could he go to school for some classes on line or at least part time to make sure he knows what he is getting into?

  17. absolutely not.

  18. Why not? As long as he has a lot of money to support the family while he is in school.

  19. He should definitely go back to school. But there is no reason not to work at least part time. Is there another means of income? 4 kids need attention too. its a tough decision. maybe go to school part time.

  20. i got to lvn school right now, and some of the students here have kids, but they also work full time. nursing school is a good profession, but it also depends on your finances, how old your kids are, and scheduling.

it's possible, but challenging, and takes a lot of dedication.

  21. It can be done if you can get financial assistance but hopefully you have a partner who's working! It helps a lot of have money coming in. If you're thinking seriously about it be aware that it's a great sacrifice for your family. You can get a part time job but between school, studying and family, finding time to work inbetween all that would be difficult during nursing school. If you want to do this, go for it, but make sure you're family is aware of the consequences.

  22. depends on his financial situation, if he can afford it, go ahead, if not, I would work part time.

  23. Sounds like he is trying to make a better life for his family.  As long as they can afford to, then it's all good.

  24. Yes, if it will help him get into a higher paying job so that eventually he can do better at supporting his family.  Hang in there and support his efforts for you and your family.  Nursing school is not easy, but on graduation will be well worth it.

  25. depends on financial, but srsly its never to late to go back to school

  26. Why dont he work full time and then go to Night classes?
