  1. It is a Christian's duty to be a good steward and care for the earth.  That does not mean they are to go chasing after the latest hysterical doomsday lunacy.  Global warming, despite what the popular media might be saying this week, is not a proven fact.  We need more data, and we need a lot less politicizing of the whole thing.

By the way, LiLo Azz or whatever.  CHILL OUT!  It you dont believe in God, why are you so mad at Him?  The spittle erupting from your ranting post made a mess of my monitor.  Take a nap or something!

  2. Yes - If you accept faith in the word of the bible as actual fact, then you should accept faith in global warming as actual fact also.

  3. That is a religious question. Ask it in the religion section.

  4. Quit insulting other's religion Lilo.  The sowing and harvesting of crops is still happening, we still have cold and heat (not just heat) and summer and winter and we still get day and night.  I think that won't change for a while.

  5. i agree with lilo azn 100%!!!!!!!!!

  6. Yes.  The fact is that what you state is true.  All those things will go on.  Just not as well.

It won't be a Hollywood movie style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Which is why many Christians are very concerned.  Here's one famous one:

"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) 'It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air.  We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”

It's a Christian duty to care for the Earth, God's creation.

  7. No because if you read further in the Bible, Matthew 24:36 says "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Which means the Earth will cease one day we just dont know the day or hour but when it happens He will take us who have been saved with Him to His Kingdom.

Plus, the global warming stuff is total c**p.

  8. Okay, according to what I think.  Religion does not solve all.  I don't believe in GOD or JESUS or that kind of c**p.  The world is the world, and global warming is just global warming.  Why are you putting god in the way for?  or religion actually...don't you know how dumb you sound like when you are too much into your religion?

AND THERE IS NOT NEED TO FEAR BECAUSE THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A GOOD THING THAT HAPPENS AFTER THE BAD COMES.

  9. We are all stewards of this earth and we are supposed to take care of it.  After all, God did take 6 days out of his busy time to make this pretty little universe for us.  The least we can do is not trash it.

PS - Dr. Schmoo - you are my hero!

  10. Good question, especially if your trying to explain the bible to young children. The age old problem of taking the Bible literally could have just the opposite effect on their spiritual view point. If we did none us would be around today. As far as tomorrow goes I'll just use a little faith with a lot of redemption.

  11. The bible also talked about floods and famines and is at least some historical evidence that the things that are consistently blamed on "global warming" have been happening for millenia.  Nobody should fear global warming.  First they don't typically weigh benefits with negative consequences.  The benefits almost certainly outweigh the negative consequences.  Second, they can't say how much if any recent warming is from man and therefore they can't say what if anything we could do about it assuming it were harmful.
