Should a Verizon replacement phone come with a battery?

Ok I got a verizon replacement phone in the mail and I was wondering if it was supposed to come with a battery or not. I was thinking maybe you get one in the store when you transfer your data?? AND ANOTHER QUESTION if your phone doesnt work can they still transfer your contacts?

Nope.  They are replacing your Phone and not the battery.  Batteries have a tiered warranty replacement policy in place.

1. NO. the warranty phone does not come with a battery. The battery is not covered by the warranty, neither is faceplate that covers the battery.

2. If your phone does not turn on, they cannot transfer your contacts.

No the replacement phone doesn't come with a battery. Even if you get a replacement at the store, they expect you to continue using your old battery. However, a new battery only costs about $40.

Yes, at the store they can transfer your contacts (i'm not sure about other data like calendar, notes etc) as long as your phone can turn on and stay on, even if it doesn't work.
