Should a healthcare worker who has had a kidney transplant be exposed to MSRA, VRE, TB,be caring for pt?

A Healthcare worork with direct patient care be allowed to go into isolation rooms where pt have VRE MRSA Cdiff, TB etc.

  1. I think yes one of my friends who had this would not eat anything of outside , he would drive wearing mask , so direct contact with MSRA,VRE should be well taken care of


  2. as long as they are wearing the proper protective equipment i don't see why it would be a problem. VRE's and MRSA would be contracted if you had a cut on yourself and went and rubbed it in the cut of an infected person (which i doubt the healthcare worker would EVER do). TB would only be contracted if you were in close quarters for very long periods of time with someone else who has the disease. and as long as you have on gloves and wash yourself properly (and the patient) you shouldn't be contracting Cdiff.
