  1. I don't think it's a matter of the quantity of love, it's the quality. The mother loves her daughter and niece the same amount, but in a different way.

  2. Unless her daughter is like, a sociopath, She should love her daughter more. That's sick that a mother would love her sibling's daughter more than her own. Her daughter is her own flesh and blood!!  The mother must not realize the kind of emotional damage that can cause. I feel really sorry for your friend too. That is so sad.

  3. well both must be loved equally... and daughter must be taught to share...

  4. No. A love of a mother to her child is different from loving a niece. Maybe her mother is acting like this because she wants your friend to behave like her cousin (the niece).

  5. hopefully your daughter...its your baby, who you brought to life

  6. the mother must be much loving to her daughter than her niece no matter what.

  7. Yes, morally, a mother should love her daughter more than her neice, because they have grown such a strong bond. A mother has her child by choice. Her neice came to this world by way of a sibling. Though each should be treated equally (to answer your question), a mothers love is strongest. But that should never mean to treat a neice with less respect and care.

  8. You give love based on how much can be accepted.

  9. Ummm, morally, a mothers love is the greatest kind of love there is.  :)

So her mom should love her more. But then again, why don't you ask your friend to sit down and talk to her mom about it?

Its not that her mom loves her niece more. She's just probably distant family and is treated kinder or nicer as a guest. That doesn't mean her mom loves her more that her.

I used to feel like that too, when my cousin would come over and get all the attention from my dad, but in the end when he left, it goes back to knowing that your dad (or mom in this case) loves you no matter what.

Its just a doubt that your friend has. She's just unsure if her mom still loves her. But please do tell her that she's always going to be number one in her moms heart, mkay?

I hope it helps you and your friend.  :)

  10. She should love the both Equally.........but, saddly, some adults do not know how to love equally and probably will never bother to learn!
