  1. Battery on a teacher is a felony, threatening a teacher or any school employee is grounds for expulsion. Be glad they didnt involve a cops, and file a report that you threatened a school employee. And they can, and have.

  2. no way, the student is only THREATENING to , the student isn'

t that stupid to actually harm a teacher

  3. Absolutely!  Anything is possible nowadays!

  4. NO, tell him to go to a wellness counsoler. Thats wat i did. I threatened him and he sent me to  psychiatric home to chill out.

  5. Yes. Teaching is a tough enough job as it is.....especially in high school and junior high school. A teacher shouldn't have to worry about the threat of violence from one of his / her students.

  6. yes

  7. Of course!  The police should be involved, too.

  8. yes if they do not have a satisfactory explanation for it.

  9. Yes!

  10. YES!! That is what Zero Tolerance is about.  A threat is a threat and all should be taken seriously nowadays.  However, a lot of time threats are not taken seriously until it is too late.  The same goes for reports of harassment, extortion, etc... A lot of times things are overlooked or not taken seriously.

The question i have is this.  WHY did the student threaten to physically harm the teacher?  Why did he/she feel they had no other option but to made the threat?  How were they planning on harming the teacher?  There are a lot of things that would determine whether or not expulsion would be the best answer to the situation.  All aspects should be taken into consideration and investigated.  Definitely some Anger Management would be in order to help with the issues that this student would be dealing with.

  11. Yes.  It's just not respectful towards the teacher.   Teachers take a lot of c**p and they don't need to be physically threatened.   It's not fair.

In addition, the student needs to learn a lesson.   In the workplace,  this individual would be fired and possible arrested for this behavior.

  12. Yep.. No doubt about it. It would be a suspension that would carry over, if it wasn't completely served and would be in their permanent record. Not fun

  13. They SHOULD, but they are not.

Schools don't punish the kids at all because if they did, they would not get NCLB money.

it's all about the money, to h**l with the teachers and kids.

  14. YES!! With all of the school shootings and weird stuff that happens now days, I would rather be safe than sorry. Teaching doesn't pay enough to be physically harmed and/or threatened.
