Should abortion be legal?

Question

I am a very opinionated person and take a stand on all topics ( I hate people who sit on the fence) but abortion is one topic I struggle to make up my mind about. I believe it should DEFINTELY be legal when the baby or the mother is in danger but how about otherwise? AND NO EFFING ARGUMENTS USING GOD! Please logic, not "God says..."

IF you let a man be able to drink till he drops, then you should let a women decide wether or not she wants a child or not. Would you want that child to grow up with a mother that didn't want it? If you do, your evil and I hope a truck runs over you. I am for abortion definitly, it isn't murder because it isn't alive yet. Scientifically its alive, but spirtually and figuratively, its not. There is already to many kids stuck with mothers who don't care about them, and those kids have to grow up sooner or later, what would they become. You people should think about those kids before you dare slap the word "God" in your argument, grow a heart. HONK FOR ABORTION!

Abortion should be legal.  If it wasn't, people would still be doing it -- by unsafe means.  If birth/pregnancy engangers a woman with children or is brough upon by rape, etc. people should have the right to choose.  So I think we should have a choice to be able to abort in a safe way.

Depends on the case.  For example, if someone is held down and gang raped, then yes, I feel they should be entitled to have an abortion.  If someone is underaged, while I want to say, you most likely had s*x unprotected and need to be responsible, I also realize having that child is a greater burden to society and the citizens foot the bill and thats not fair either.  I think the only time it shouldn't is if someone has the ways and means. In that case, tough luck a**hole  Good luck trying to find anyone who won't bring "God" into this.  Ever wonder why the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to f*ck in a million years anyway?

I am a Certified Medical Assistant.. It should be illegal for a habitual user..using it for Birth Control Purposes. I know a girl 22 on her 7th abortion and every time she would have and abortion she would come into the clinic I worked at with complications... I was told to abort my third daughter because my OB said she was going to be a downs syndrome baby guess what??? He was wrong...

I had no intention of listening to him... She is 15 years old a wonderful girl with mild autism and I would not trade that for anything..

I would say maybe in a rape case..

Abortion is legal the question many people are asking today is if it should be outlawed. As a woman in this society when women are free to make there own choices in life i would have to say that Abortion should be legal only if the baby is ill and it is somewhat life threatening to the mother. And here is my argument to most people who think abortion should be legal  at all times; in most states when a person ; lets just say the mother is in a relationship to an abuse man. If the man hurts the woman and kill the fetus in most states the man would go to prison. Well you may say oh that's different the man was abusive he didn't want to hurt the woman or the fetus. HELLO he was abusive he wanted to hurt the woman or fetus. Either way that man killed the fetus ; just like a doctor would have done for a woman if she asked. The man killed a fetus he goes to jail. The doctor killed a fetus he/she gets paid.

I believe that women should have dominion over their own bodies.

And for anyone wants to say that a fetus or an embryo is a "human life," a gastrula of 16 or 32 undifferentiated cells, still much smaller than the head of a pin, is no more a human being than an acorn is an oak tree.

Abortion should be outlawed, because these babies cannot defend themselves, and should not be able to make a choice about their life, until they are an adult.

I believe that all adults should be able to legally choose on how to live their lives, including drug use, gambling, drinking, cage fighting etc. A civilized society should put laws in place only for the following reason; To protect others from ones harm, which includes, protecting children in all possible ways.

a woman should always have the right to choose.  and not just in the event that mother and/or child are in danger.  there are cases of rape or just flat out irresponsibility amongst young ppl who financially and emotionally arent ready for a child.  now i do think "chronic" abortions should be illegal and that some type of reversable contraception should be forced on ppl who continuously have babies they cant/dont care for or continuously have abortions.  other than that, imagine if the gov't could force ppl to have babies they never meant to have:  the neglect, abuse, and abandoment cases would skyrocket.  as a elementary school teacher, i think those cases are high enough...

See I too have complications with this one.

I think abortion is horrible.

Anyone who has seen the video's or pictures of the 9 months in the womb....think about this.

after only 2 months, not even. You can see there is a BABY a HUMAN a LIFE SOURCE whatever you wanna call it.

For me it's unbearable to know that inside you is a beating heart, an innocent baby that didn't ask to be made or killed. & YOU CREATED  IT, you should take the responsibility.

However, a thirteen year old girl who is raped and get's pregnant....how can you deny her abortion?

She might have a whole life ahead of her. NEVER intended on pregnancy. Should she have to face what some man FORCED her too? I don't think so.

Personally, I think rape is worse than murder. & having to face that child. Regardless of how much you love it. Would be a hard thing to do. An everyday reminder of the h**l you endured. Especially at a young age.

So my opinion differs to both directions.

I think that abortion is murder--no buts about it. If you use the fact that either the mother or the baby is in danger, you're using that as a excuse to kill someone. If someone were to ask you striaght up whether you would kill someone if it meant saving yourself, would you say yes???? Just think about it.

well i'm pro-choice. its a woman's choice and not only that if abortion wasn't legalized women would be desperate if they were in a situation where they needed the child aborted that's where we get things like back-alley abortions. so to prevent things like that i certainly think that it should be legal

PLUS it is her choice so why ppl freak is dumb bc they should mind their own business it's not their body and it's not their choice what she does with it. mind your own business
