Yes.  Pigs have a much keener sense of smell than dogs, which makes up for their poor eyesight.  

They're also the 4th most intelligent species on earth and very easy to train.  I have a small sanctuary on my property and have several pigs here, they're truly amazing creatures and much smarter than the many dogs that we have here, as well.

although their sense of smell is greatly stronger than dogs, they are obviously not as intelligent or easy to train. now i want bacon for breakfast. i microwave it now, so much easier.
