Should all immigration be put on hold until the feds can catch up?

Just saw some programs about how even the HB1 people coming hee are not monitored and the government has no idea if they leave when the visa has expired. Wouldn't it be a good idea to stop all immigration, legal and illegal until they can catch up. You would think Homeland security would push for this. Bet the legals would have a fit and their folks would set things straight.

In theory this sounds perfectly fine.  Unfortunately, our government would be incapable of enforcing this as they can't even deal with the millions of illegal immigrants here now.  They really need to get their priorities straight.

Actually they are starting to deny visa to people that are requesting them from other countries. If they are applying for jobs in a certain part of the country that the job they are applying for is not in demand it can be denied or they would have to get and offer from somewhere where it was in demand to get it approved.

The only we can reasonably afford such an order is returning our troops to the U.S. - not ONLY from the Iraq war (any fighter in Iraq determined enough to stay should be granted U.S. permission and Iraq should fund it).

We have military operations and troops in over 130 countries!

The Border Wars have taken dozens of lives on both sides near El Paso in only the last 2 weeks. This is a war we're losing. It's a greater and more imminent threat to the U.S. than any other in the world at this time.

As for the over-stayers, chip-them. NOT CITIZENS. Just visa-jumpers.

Good idea, but like one said wil never happen and also antoher that it moves the economy.  seems you have to take the good with the bad, cheap labor, buying vs rape, murder, drugs.    This didn't happen onvernight and you can thank Kennedy when people thought he was something pushing this and the Reppublicans going right along with it.  In the final phase, the country will be over run and instead of certain areas being destroyed and useless the entire country will sink like a ship.  Even Americans are abusing the system.  Many have been busted afor collecting welfare in several different area and the government does very little, don't want to be ocnsidered racist, but it someone working messes up look out.  So in the long run just allow the government to handle your life.

Think about it, a family of four get about the same in cash, insurance, housing, food, health care as someone busting thir butt and pulling in $60,000, so what is easier.  

granted many immigrants come here and get to work and build on their futures.  I have seen entire communities that were destroyed by certain  low income Ameican families, to the point that they even had to leave and the new immigrants come in work their jobs and rebuild the place, which is what America is all about.  The you got the liberals, the ones that manipulate.  Also have to agree in part with Juan, as they say it would ruin the economy and also if we didn't do busines s with China, but with that said, I think if they stopped it right now there are enough people here that could do the jobs and we need to take care of all first, before we bring in millon more.  What good is it to bring someone in and no job.  Take care.

If they could---YES!  But even the bigger fences in AZ aren't going to keep the illegals out!
