  1. are you guys retarded?! Paying him a complement? By saying the young golfers should lynch him? So if he was Jewish it would have been okay if she said that the young players only have a shot if they put him in a concentration camp? Come on guys. She could have used a different term than lynch. She knew what she was saying. And she should have been suspended.

  2. I think no ! Like he said it was kinda a compliment! But she should have picked a different word....now they gonna take this and run with it! but i do hope they don't fire her and next time she should just think before she speaks!

im tired of Al! he gets on my nerves! i think people should start ignoring him now!

oh yeah lynching had been done why b4 blacks so it does not just refer to blacks! it was done way b4 blacks or anybody else came to america!

  3. I'm glad to see that Tiger Woods is an intelligent human being who knows the difference between a joke (even though it was in very poor taste) and hate speech. I always knew he was a respectable person, and his response to this "issue" proves that to me.

As for Al Sharpton, that bigot should never be allowed on public airways to spew his hate-filled dialouge. Al Sharpton is a camera w***e whose sole goal in life is to spend as much time in front of a camera as possible. He should be ashamed of himself for keeping racism alive.

  4. Okay, look, I'm sure this chick isn't racist. In fact, I read that she and Tiger have been good friends for about 12 years. She called him directly and apologized for what she said, and he forgave her, because he knew her intentions weren't cruel. She was trying to make a point about how young golfers could beat Tiger, and she used a horrible choice of words. Because of that, yes, she should be suspended, because you don't make jokes about lynching a black person on TV. So I don't wanna read anymore stupid answers about how "she was paying him a compliment". There is NOTHING complimentary about lynching.

  5. NO NO NO she shouldn't have got suspended.  Al Sharpton needs to crawl in a hole and die.  He is the cause of more racist remarks and if he were to go away it would be a step in the right direction.  GET OVER IT..  There were plenty of lynchings in the "wild west" and they weren't against the black people.  I think the sensitivity level of this country needs to tone down a notch.  There may be racists in the world but there are equal numbers that find fault in EVERY word people say.

  6. Unless you are a history professor giving a lecture on late 19th early 20th century American History, the word lynching in reference to a Black man should NEVER be used! She even laughed after she said it. I wish her luck with the rest of her broadcasting career.

  7. Okay it happened, it was meant as a compliment to Tiger, she was punished, let's get on with life people.

  8. can we let this go yet?

  9. No way in h**l should she be suspended.  Even Tiger says it's not an issue and he took the comment in the way it was intended.  If anyone wants to beat Tiger, the are going to have to do something to him off the links because they won't be able to do it playing him.  There is nothing racist about it.  PERIOD. Give the woman her job back and stop being to PC America.  Only Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would take that comment out of context and make it a racial slur.

Since when was "lynching" only done to black people.  Lynching has been done throughout history to every race, color, and creed.  How dare Sharpton claim that they are the only race to be lynched and use it a a racial epitaph.

  10. Absolutely NOT.

She was paying Tiger Woods a compliment, by saying that the only way younger golfers stood a chance at being competitve was by taking Tiger out.

Then racists like Al Sharpton get involved and the Golf Channel gets all scared and intimidated.

I would like to ask Al Sharpton what he puts in his soup.  If he answers, "crackers," I'll sue his big fat butt and demand he be fired.

    EDITED for "The D"

Careful, you could upset some people who work with citizens who have special needs, autism, learning disabilities, etc.

You used the term retarded in a very careless fashion.  It is as if you do not have any regard for the ARC.
