  1. No because look at the fights he's had he lost a lot of the  big money fights. His best fights was the trilogy with Mickey Ward who also is not a great boxer but had a lot of heart. A boxer worthy of being inducted into the Boxing Hall of fame must be an excellent boxer and Arturo Thunder Gatti is not worthy of being in the HOF with the elites in boxing.

  2. Yes, he lost more often than he won against top opposition, but no one, shy of Ali, put BUTTS IN SEATS like Gatti did at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.  Is that enough to get him in the Hall?  Well, if Kenny Norton can get in for "deserving" another win over Ali, then yeah, Gatti deserves to be in.  Gatti also won titles on more than one occasion.  He encompassed the true definition of "professional prizefighter" more than anyone in recent memory.

  3. Short answer...no. There have been plenty of tough, entertaining boxers through the years. Vinny pazienza, Micky Ward, Ricky Hatton to name a few. But the Hall Of Fame should be reserved for the greats. I think a good criteria for the Hall should be, the fighter was the Undisputed king of his weight class for a period of time. Or the fighter won multiple weight classes championships. Then there is always the true test. Does he feel like a H.O.F.er. I cant say Gatti does. Loved his fights with Ward and Ivan robinson. The joey Gamanche K.O. should be in the hall, but not Arturo.

  4. i think every fighter who became a household name and gave us great fights should get in somewhere in the hall of fame but maybe not next to the legendary greats.

  5. Definite yes, the human highlight reel has bought so much joy to the fight fans over the years he is a shoe in for me in the hall of fame. He has been involved in so many fight of the year candidates that it is unbelievable and the 2002 fight against Mickey Ward goes down as one of the best fights in history. Ruelas, Leija, Dorin, Branco,Gamache, Damgaard and Ward although not names as recognizable as Mayweather and De La Hoya were still very good boxers with great records up until fighting Arturo and they would probably of gone on to greater things had they not been beaten by Gatti so i would say that for you to say all he had was heart and a punch is wrong he beat some very talented boxers.

  6. It's called the "Hall of FAME", right?  Gatti, for all his faults and foibles, is very famous - even outside of boxing circles.

And if Barry McGuigan, and fighters of his caliber (no disrespect to Barry, who I like) can get into the IBHOP, Gatti's a shoe-in!

  7. Ton of heart and a decent punch,?, yeah so does my dad but he's a garbage man with a drinking problem so should he be in the hof as well. short answer, no
