  1. if u say something like: I was talking to my uncle. : then no because when u say my before it u dont but if u said : I was talking to Uncle. : then u would because u r useing uncle as his name

so with my(or a word like my (ex our)) before it no it isnt capital but without my it is :]

or if u say : i was talking to Uncle Tom. : then also yes u do

    hope i helped

  2. Only if it is used as a proper noun, for ex. Uncle Sam, Aunt Anna. Otherwise it need not be capitalized - I am visiting my uncle today.

  3. No, they are common nouns.

  4. No,

  5. Aunt and uncle would be capitalized only if they were proper nouns. If you say, "This is my aunt," it is not capitalized. However, if you were to say, "What is this, Aunt?" it would be.

And as was already mentioned, you would capitalize it if you added her name: "This is Aunt Sally."

    I hope that makes sense.

The same goes for the words 'mom' and 'dad'.

"Where are you, Mom?" vs. "Where's my mom?"
