Well the U.K. traditional partners have been the USA. Perhaps we ought kiss them goodbye and cosy up to the Ruskies.

They have perhaps a lot more resources afterall. All fair in love and war!

yes. i think now would be a great time to increase positive ties with russia, they have oil, and other resouces... plus who knows what will happen, russia's a loose bomb (no pun intended) and i think you usually want to be on good grounds with them...

the simple answer is no because there remains alot of secrecy in russia, there is too much trust to be shared which i cant see the russians wanting to contribute to.

Well, yeah, but what do the Russians want from us ? Well, tax haven but they've already got that, and that's only for the rich ones avoiding Russian tax, so that don't exactly endear us to them. Blair made the misjudgement of putting all his eggs in American basket. We are stuck with it now. We dissed Russia when it was down. Big mistake, but then this government has made so many. If only we had a Putin to lead this country out of the mire and restore national pride and dignity to our youth.
