[Former Wasilla mayor John Stein] says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times.

"She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." The librarian, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire her for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

  2. Of course not. It's called censorship and it's illegal.

    If you Google Mayor Palin, under the news tab, 1997, there are several articles written by the Anchorage newspaper regarding her firing the police chief and librarian for not following her. The librarian did get her job back. The Supreme Court she could fire these people for any reason she deemed, but just because you can doesn't mean you should, and do we want someone who tried to ban books in the White House? This is her "executive experience?"
