Nothing wrong with it.  It's not like he went out and got a tattoo, this stuff comes off.  If he's secure enough in who he is to wear it, I don't see a problem.  If he's thinking about it he's probably "cool" enough to where others will follow him or "wierd" enough that he's being picked on about something else already.
