  1. they should but they dont.

they are just concerned about selling whatever they can.

next time ask them for a carfax report most if not all will get one for you. it takes maybe 5min in the office. it will tell you where the car has been, if it was crashed, if it had any new paint or fabric or body work done. etc.

  2. Its something that they are not legally required to tell you but most reputable dealers will not sell a vehicle that has been involved in an accident or they will tell you what parts have been replaced. Selling cars with body damage replacements are bad business and a good company would not knowingly sell a "dirty" car because the BBB and attorney general would eventually catch on and you could lose more than just customers...

Always ask for a carfax report!!! Always!

  3. No its up to you to find out. You can pay about $30.00 and get a car history report. But most people don't.:(

  4. Around here... They only have to tell you if you ask.   Best to ask for a CARFACTS report from any Dealership, they can get them free.     If they tell you no... pass up on the deal.

  5. Sadly, Carfax is not always reliable. :(

only when the car is fixed at the dealership’s service dept. or well-known big-name shops will it report to Carfax.
