Yes I strongly believe children should work for their money, come about age 15-16, best time to start with a small part time job, if they don't learn at an early age, they are going to expect that the parents will always be there for hand-outs.

I am totally pro forteenagers around 15-16 getting part time jobs

i will also ask,work for what?but in general the answer is yes.

work for pocket money,yes,they could help round the house.tidy up their room,take out the bins,wash dishes etc,

work on their school results.yes.

work for their relationship with parents,teachers,friends and other people,yes.

life is all about working on the set situations,on ourselves on the environment and with other people.the earliest we learn that work of what ever form is always in our best interest even if it doesn`t seem so at the time,we have to take the good with the bad,learn to associate the difference and learn by our failures.
