  3. yes, what I can't figure out is why they don't.

  4. One day China will free Tibet but not now with this government .In China more than 99% people will not agree to free tibet currently, excepte their goverment insist to do than .Now ,that's impossible like it's impossible to let  chinese communist give up  kaiserdom.

  5. yes. Do you like your basic human rights? i think tibetans would like it too. I think a lot of countries would..... I know i like mine.

  6. lol my friend who is Chinese said the same thing in response to the question. honestly tibet is better off being part of china.

  7. Prior to China taking over Tibet, it was a religious totalitarian dictatorship where 98% of the people were considered slaves.

Today the people have more say in their region then anytime in their history.  They also have more freedom and more government power then the past.

Tibet is one of 3 autonomous regions of China.  All of those regions have historical ties to China.

China wants to do the same thing that they have done with Hong Kong, by eventually setting up a government that is really one country, two governments.

The problem with the west, is we cause problems in Tibet without being informed of the past.  We are trying to force China's hand and in turn, that brings rebellion and China cracking down.  I have understood, many Tibet people wish the west would butt out, because it is making that change even slower and in turn, making life harder.

The other problem, is we don't look at our own past, look at the territories we have (autonomous regions) and have put down rebellions in ours, nor our past history of mass slaughter of an indigenous people so we can set up America into what it is today.  We tell others what to do, but don't live by our own words.

Finally, no country, nor the UN, nor the Dali Lama himself says that Tibet is sovereign.  While I agree, the Tibet people should have more say in their internal affairs, if we would butt out, I surmise, they would be well on their way to being free and under that concept, one country, two governments.

The lack of knowledge in the west of what Tibet is today, and what it was in the past, is indicative of the way our press and government has brainwashed our people into thinking differently.  We are terribly misinformed.
