Should china stop claiming tibet as part of their country? why?

In a perfect world those desiring independence would receive it. However, we do not live in a perfect world. Independence is usually only won through revolution and struggle. You cannot expect China to just relinquish it's claims on territories under it's control anymore than you would expect the United States to willingly grant independence to a state that demanded it. International politics is not a simple matter of right and wrong. Never has been, never will be.

It makes no difference.  China has claimed ownership or sovereignty over a number of places.

I do believe china should stop trying to take tibet.

the monks are very pleasant people; there not harming anyone or anything. China needs to stop trying to be a super power and allow smaller nearer country's there way of doing things. i cant stand hearing what china has done to these people.
