  1. "When You enter any land and travel over the country, if they receive You, eat what they will set before You, and heal the sick among them. For what goes into your mouth will not defile You, but what comes out of your mouth will defile You."  by Jesus, The Gospel of Thomas

  2. If you gamble in a casino many believe it to be a sin.

In my opinion you are eating at a place where people gamble, and by eating there you are supporting gambling, so yes it is a sin. However if one was to be this picky, you wouldn't be able to live.

I wouldn't go to a casino to eat for dinner, but if you happen to be at a casino for some reason, eating their really won't matter.

I would eat at a casino and not feel guilty.

Think about it, gambling is a sin, but in a simple sense all your doing is Paying for food, so I wouldn't mind

If you still fill guilty pray to God and explain why you eat at a casino, and ask for forgiveness

  3. This is a very good question... I dont know if its really sin..  but i do have something about casinos.. i do go once a month.. but i have a nephew who is in the minstry.. he goes from place to place.. gets offering.. then heads to the casino to gamble it.. he will lose like 500.00 and think nothing of it.. but its from people who is supporting his minstry.. sorry to get off track...but wanted to share that.. back to ur question...... i really like to know if it is or not....

  4. Ditto to Potsie's answer!!!!!!!! Great answer my friend.

  5. yes god is totally against buffets..

  6. Christians should eat where they want to eat.   If you are this technical about it then you should be paranoid about what you wear since most of the clothing imported into the US is manufactured in countries that aren't primarily christian.  The same can be said for almost anything you use.  I don't think it should be that big a deal since the Bible teaches that your Creator knows what's in a persons heart.

  7. nothing wrong with supporting your local casino, just think of it as the devils collection plate

  8. why would that be a sin?

    thats weird....

  9. Nowhere in the Bible does it state "Gambling is a sin..."!  If you are losing your bill paying money and being really careless then those actions are sinful, but it's not because you are gambling it is because you are not being a good steward of the portion that God has entrusted to you.  With that being said you can set a reasonable budget and stick to it and enjoy the entertainment of gaming.  Personally, I like to bet on sports.  I have a budget for it and I make a consistent profit.  Is that wrong?  Isn't it wrong that people gorge themselves on McDonald's food every day and now weigh 300+ pounds and have mistreated their bodies?  It's funny how we view that as being okay, but if you have a glass of wine with your dinner or partake of a game of poker then that is sinful.

Now if you think gambling is sinful then it is for you.  That is your opinion and what you think God's 'feelings' are on the subject.  That is perfectly fine.  Let's assume now that gambling is a sin.  If you were to eat there it would NOT be!  Here's why..you could take this crazy line of thinking and apply it to other areas.  Is it okay for Christians to buy groceries at a store that sells alcohol because some people drink too much alcohol and become alcoholics and lose everything?  Is it okay for Christians to shop at WalMart when some of their products are made in 3rd world countries by 8 year olds.  Is it a sin to buy a salad at McDonalds because they also sell hamburgers that are really high in calories and could make other people fat?  Is it okay to buy gas for your car when the oil comes from Islamic countries?  These things are all legalistic nonsense!

The bottom line is that Christianity isn't a list of do's and don'ts!  It's not a collection of "Thou shall not..."  It was until Christ died for our sins and provided freedom in his sacrifice. The bottom line is that it's not for me or you or anyone else here to tell you what is and what is NOT a sin, it's a personal thing.  If the Bible says it or if your personal belief is a certain way then that is how it is, but it may be different for another person and you cannot hold them to the same standard.  We don't measure our own spiritual journey against that of another, it is between God and you.   God looks upon your heart, ie your intent, and judges you on that alone...not on where you eat.

  10. If Christ comes back you would probably find him at the next table with a big pitcher of beer having a snack and drinks in between poker games.

    King Cobra Poker

  11. I don't believe eating in the facility is a sin.  It is the actual act of gambling that most people consider to be a sin.
